Estancia Chacabuco and
National Park
Lynck Safaris has 40 thousand remote hectares, located in the south of the Province of Neuquén, in Argentine Patagonia. Chacabuco and the National Park, with their mountainous environment of wide grasslands and Patagonian Andean forests crisscrossed by rivers and streams, offer an ideal setting for hunters prepared for adventure. Our base camps, strategically located in the mountain range and away from traffic, are accessible only on foot or horseback. Equipped with essential comforts, they guarantee a comfortable and pleasant stay without disturbing the prevailing tranquility, where the fire pit becomes the epicenter of attention. The daily trips, on horseback from dawn in search of the places chosen for brama, generally culminate at dusk with a restorative dinner illuminated by the fire.
HOW TO GET THERE
From the city of Buenos Aires, you take a domestic flight from Jorge Newbery (AER) to the airports of San Carlos de Bariloche (BRC) or San Martín de los Andes (CPC). At these points, the Lynck Safaris staff waits to transfer the hunters to the exclusive lodge, with an estimated time of 2 hours and 1 hour respectively. Once there, a welcome dinner is served, allowing visitors to rest and prepare for days of hunting.
SERVICES
We have an exclusive lodge to accommodate hunters prior to their departure, offering exquisite regional food. The transfer to the camp is done in 4x4 vehicles to ensure a safe trip. From the beginning of the trip on horseback, our hunters are accompanied by professional big game guides, guiding them in safe ways to ride in the mountains and giving them the opportunity to check weapons and ammunition if they do not bring their own.
With a maximum capacity of 4 hunters, the camp has a sleeping tent, running water and a full kitchen for meal preparation, by Lynck Safaris staff. There is no WIFI, phone signal or electricity on the mountain. Once the hunting activity is over, the return to the comfort of the lodge begins the preparation for the return home, covered by the company.
THE HUNT
The daily hunting routine begins at dawn with breakfast, followed by a ride on horseback to an elevated place to observe the movement of the deer. Generally, you have a light lunch in the mountains and rest during the hottest times, when deer activity decreases. The activity resumes in the afternoon, extending until dusk and, sometimes, returning on horseback during the night. If a specimen is shot, it is transported to the camp, where it remains until the end of the hunting season. Wild boars can also be found in the area, which can be shot if they do not interfere with the red deer hunt.
The stay takes place in open environments surrounded by amazing landscapes and wild animals, inviting photography as a complement to the travel experience. Patrick, the architect of the red deer hunting project in Chacabuco, infects and transmits to his professional guides the concepts of responsible hunting, respecting the traditional values of hunting and conserving natural environments. Only mature and old specimens are allowed to be shot, and it is the guide's responsibility to indicate the feasibility of the shot.
